Essay: My Best Friend

Two years back Ravi Chaudhari and I got tied in a tie of friendship when I was going to Mumbai. It happened during a journey that I met this fair, slim and tall gay, talked to him and became friends.

At first Ravi was staying at Mumbai. Then unexpectedly his father was transferred to Punt Ravi then got admission in my school and in my class which made me very happy as we came closer. I got an opportunity to know and read how my friend is.

Ravi arrived at school and won everyone with his lenient, polite and obedient nature. He is bright at his studies as well. He never loses top ranks. He never burns midnight oil. He studies regularly and systematically. He hears the lessons in the class with keen attention and reads all the subjects carefully. He gets the doubts cleared from the teachers time to time. We enjoy studying together. Ravi never spends his leisure idly. In his spare time he likes reading and listening to music. He has a big collection of good books like comics joke books, science fiction, books about plants, birds, planets and stars. He lends them to me for reading. We make discussions on various topics in them. Ravi loves sitar and also plays it. So most of his cassette collection contains recordings of sitar-concerts and masterly pieces of sitar and tabala.

Ravi is a good sportsman too. After the school both of us go to the school play-ground and play kho-kho, kabaddi etc. He prefers Indian games to cricket and football. He loves India and is proud of its rich heritage. Ravi takes active participation in the extra curricular activities like elocution competitions, music competitions and wins prizes. Ravi is very good at heart. He is very helpful to the weak students in the class. He spares time for them and helps them in their studies. He is never jealous if someone surpasses his rank.

I enjoy Ravi's company everyday in school. We often go to each others house and enjoy many memorable moments. The most unforgettable moment is one when Ravi saved me from an accident. He really is a true friend I ever got. He shares my joys as well as grief’s. He consoled me when I missed my rank. He helped me in studies. Its only due to him that both of us are good and top-ranking students in the class. I love him and respect him. Ravi, my best friend is God's blessing for me!
