We all know that man is a social animal. He to live in a society and the concept of society begins from neighbors.
Neighbors may be good or bad in behavior. The good neighbors always take a lion's share in your joys as well as sorrows. The bad neighbours cause troubles. Still neighbours play important role in our life and they are necessary.
one of our neighbours on the ground floor in Dr. Gune, a lecturer. He is well-educated and fond of reading. He is very good at heart. He lends us various books to read and helps solve our difficulties. He is very quiet and sees that others not troubled by him. We like him because he is good to everybody.
Mr. lyyangar is our neighbour on the first floor. He is an engineer and always busy with his work. But when he is free we enjoy talking to him on various topics. His wife Mrs. Iyyangar is a very soft-spoken and helpful lady. Her manners are gentle and polished. She is a very close friend of my mother.
Mr. Joshi, a branch manager in a bank, is very interested Indian classical music. He makes riyaz in his sweet voice morning and evening. His wife plays harmonium and assists him. His sons are very intelligent and very good at studies. They are good friends of me.
Mr. Mulchand is another neighbour on the same floor. He is rich cloth-merchant. He is a miser and always thinks and about money. His wife is very rough in talk and behavior. They have two children who are very naughty. They spend time in playing and watching television kept on in a loud voice. This causes a great trouble when exams are going on. They are very proud of their wealth and always pick up quarrels with others on petty reasons.
But, in spite of their good or bad qualities, my neighbours are ‘true neighbours'. They share each other's joys and grief’s. They as if compete with each other in helping one another in adversity's. They come together to celebrate festivals like Navaratri, Diwali, Holi, Ganapati and Pongal. Such occasion’s make us all forgot small quarrels and differences and adjust ourselves with each other to make our life peaceful and cheerful, because we know "many men, many minds."
